VaxIQ (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) is a vaccine information and schedule reference app. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use the VaxIQ mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

  • Information you provide: If you use the Schedule feature, you may enter a baby’s date of birth and nickname. This data is stored only on your device (local storage) and is not sent to our servers.
  • Usage and diagnostics: We do not collect personal identification, analytics, or usage data by default. If the app uses optional third-party services (e.g., crash reporting), those services may collect limited technical data as described in their own policies.
  • Device data: We do not collect or store device identifiers, location, or contacts.

2. How We Use Information

  • Data stored on your device (e.g., saved vaccines, schedule profile) is used only to provide app features to you and is not transmitted to us unless you explicitly share content (e.g., sharing a generated PDF).
  • We do not sell or rent your information.

3. Data Storage and Security

  • Data you create in the app is stored locally on your device. You can remove it by clearing app data or uninstalling the app.
  • We do not operate servers that store your personal information for the core app features.

4. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

  • VaxIQ offers an optional subscription (VaxIQ+). Purchases are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive or store your full payment card number, billing address, or other payment credentials.
  • Purchase receipts are validated on-device using the platform’s native APIs. We do not operate a server that processes or stores purchase data.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device’s subscription settings (iOS: Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions; Android: Google Play > Subscriptions).
  • If you restore purchases on a new device, the app validates your subscription status with the platform store. No personal data is transmitted to us as part of this process.

5. Third-Party Services

  • The app may link to external sites (e.g., FDA, CDC, HHS/VAERS, immunization schedules). Those sites have their own privacy practices; we are not responsible for them.
  • If we integrate optional services (e.g., analytics or crash reporting), we will update this policy and, where required, obtain consent.

6. Children’s Privacy

  • The app is designed for use by parents. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Any date of birth entered in the Schedule feature refers to the user’s child (the vaccination subject) and is used only for age-based schedule calculations. It is stored locally on the user’s device and is not transmitted to our servers.

7. Changes to This Policy

  • We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised. For material changes, we will provide in-app notice before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the app after that notice period constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
